Sad news for me, happy news for someone else

So after EXTENSIVE research, blood, sweat and tears, Victor and I have come to the conclusion that it will not be possible to take our cats to England with us. In our opinion: IT SUCKS
However, we are hoping to find a nice family who will take them in for about two years until we get back. There is light at the end of the tunnel but sill sad. Yes, we could ship them as cargo but it would cost us anywhere from $2000-$4000 and we just don't have that kind of money to spare for the kitties.

So if you know that deep in your heart you would like to take care of two precious cats for two years then let me know. They really are wonderful and I am so sad not to have them living with me for two years but alas, that's just the way it goes.

Let me double check with the Hubbster, but I'm pretty sure we can. That sucks, though.

Whoa whoa whoa...my friend Sonja and her husband are living in England for work and have been there for two years now...and they took their cat. Check out her blog at matraquer.livejournal.com...I'm sure you can get in touch with her that way...

My advisor's wife also has something about taking their cats to Spain and England on her blog, and you can contact her through there.

I'm sure the cats need blood tests 6 months prior to arriving in England, so they will still need to stay with somebody for that time.
